# Delete a contact’s data screen

Use the deletion panel in a person’s details to request erasure from this workspace.

## What it's for {#what-its-for}

Review the irreversible deletion warning and follow the request’s progress. Only Owners and Managers can request erasure.

## What you see {#what-you-see}

- Before submission, the panel shows a warning and a confirmation field.
- After submission, it shows progress stages and results for each storage location.

## What you can do {#what-you-can-do}

- Type **DELETE** and choose **Delete permanently**.
- Use **View history** to open deletion requests, or close the panel.

## States and messages {#states-and-messages}

- An active data hold stops outreach while deletion waits.
- Offline VPSs, unsupported agent versions or missing confirmations can prevent completion.
- Partial deletion is not completion; the panel reports completion only when all locations confirm.
- No completion time is promised here.
