# Set a new password screen

Choose a new X-Buddy password after opening the recovery link in your email.

## What it's for {#what-its-for}

Complete password recovery using a valid email link. Opening this screen alone is not enough to reset a password.

## What you see {#what-you-see}

- **New password** and **Confirm password** when the link is ready.
- **Save new password** to submit the change.

## What you can do {#what-you-can-do}

- Enter a password of at least 8 characters and repeat it exactly.
- Choose **Save new password**.
- If the link cannot be used, choose **Resend link** to request another one.

## States and messages {#states-and-messages}

- The page checks the link before showing the form.
- **Link is invalid or expired** means you need a new recovery link.
- **Passwords don’t match.** appears if the confirmation differs.
- **Password changed** confirms success; **Go to X-Buddy** takes you into the app.
