# Create account screen

Create an X-Buddy login before setting up a workspace or accepting an invitation.

## What it's for {#what-its-for}

Register your X-Buddy account. This does not create or sign in an X account.

## What you see {#what-you-see}

- **Full name**, an email field, **Password** and **Confirm password**.
- A password hint and a link to **Sign in**.

## What you can do {#what-you-can-do}

- Enter your name and email.
- Use a password of at least 8 characters and enter it again.
- Choose **Sign up**. If confirmation is requested, open the email link before signing in.

## States and messages {#states-and-messages}

- **Creating account…** appears during submission.
- Missing name or email, short passwords and mismatched confirmation produce form errors.
- **Check your email** means email confirmation is needed; check Spam if the message is missing.
- If registration signs you in immediately, you continue without that confirmation screen.
