# Account and workspace menu screen

> Use the account menu to choose the workspace you are working in. Your role can differ between workspaces.

Use the account menu to choose the workspace you are working in. Your role can differ between workspaces.

## What it's for {#what-its-for}

Switch the workspace context without signing out. The menu lists the workspaces you belong to, not a picker for individual X accounts.

## What you see {#what-you-see}

- Your account identity, current workspace and role.
- Available workspaces with their roles and a check beside the current choice.
- Actions to create a workspace or sign out.

## What you can do {#what-you-can-do}

- Open **Account and workspace menu** from your avatar; on a phone, open the side menu first.
- Select another workspace to open its overview.
- Use the create-workspace action for a separate business or client.
- Use the sign-out action before signing in as a different person.

## States and messages {#states-and-messages}

- Switching with unsaved changes asks for confirmation first.
- You can stay and save your work, or discard the changes and switch.
- Old drafts, selections and open panels do not carry into the new workspace.
- If you have no workspace available, X-Buddy takes you to workspace creation.
