Alerts & Telegram
What X-Buddy alerts you about, how to set up your own Telegram bot for alerts, and which language alerts use.
Notifications collects alerts about your workspace: an X account that needs attention, a VPS offline, a proxy problem, a campaign that ran out of people or paused itself, a post that failed, an X account slowed down by X, an action broken by an X change, a failed sync, or a webhook that was switched off.
Alert rules
Each kind of alert has a rule in the workspace settings: on or off, a threshold where it makes sense (for example how long a VPS may be silent), and whether it also goes to Telegram. Repeats of the same alert for the same thing within 30 minutes are merged into one.
Set up Telegram
X-Buddy doesn't use a shared bot: you create your own.
- In Telegram, talk to @BotFather, create a bot and copy its token.
- Start a chat with your bot (or add it to a group) and find the chat's ID.
- In X-Buddy, open the alert settings, enter the bot token and the Chat ID, and save.
- Send a test. You should receive: "✅ X-Buddy: Telegram connected. This workspace's alerts will be sent here."
The bot token is stored encrypted; afterwards only a short hint of it is shown.
Language
Alerts on screen use each viewer's own language. Telegram messages and the test message use the Workspace notification language (Settings → Workspace), because one chat serves the whole team.
