Stats & activity log

Where the numbers come from, how follow-back and reply rates are calculated, and how to read the activity log.

Last checked: October 24, 2026Markdown version

Analytics, Overview and the Activity log all read the same records, so the same question always gets the same number.

Where numbers come from

Every number is built from what actually happened: actions confirmed on X, snapshots of each X account (followers, following), post metrics, campaign participants, messages and account state changes. There are no separate counters that can drift.

  • Confirmed actions are counted separately from attempts X-Buddy couldn't verify.
  • Reads made by MCP or API connections aren't counted as actions in the activity chart.

Rates

  • Follow-back rate — people who followed back ÷ people the campaign followed, in the selected period.
  • Reply rate — people who replied after the first message ÷ people who got a first message, in the period.

People reached less than 72 hours ago stay in the count but are shown separately (Of those, new < 72 hours): they may not have had time to answer yet. When there's nothing to divide by, the rate shows —, never a misleading 0%.

Followers gained and lost

A change in followers needs a measurement at both ends of the period. Unfollowers are found by re-reading the full follower list, so for very large X accounts some names may be missing.

Activity log

The Activity log lists every job and action with its X account, result and reason. Filter by X account, result, campaign or source — the web app, automation, or an MCP / API connection. It's the first place to look when you want to know whether something really happened.
