Import X accounts in bulk

Paste or upload a list of X accounts in any column order, keep every column encrypted, review, and import with a receipt for each row.

Account lists from different sources come in different shapes — login|password|2FA|email|…, with cookies, tokens or extra columns in any order. The importer lets you say what each column is, keeps every column, and creates one X account per row.

Only import your own X accounts, or X accounts whose owners have allowed you to use them and their sign-in sessions. X-Buddy never bypasses captchas or X verification.

Who can import

Only Owners and Managers can import X accounts or manage saved sign-in details. Open X accounts → Bulk import X accounts.

The five steps

The importer walks through Data → Map columns → VPS & proxy → Review → Results. Nothing is sent to the server until Review.

1. Data

Paste the list (one X account per row) or select a .txt, .csv or .tsv file. Choose the Column separator:

  • Pipe | (preserve double quotes) — the default. Quotation marks are kept as part of the value, so a password containing " survives.
  • Pipe | with quoted fields, Tab key, Comma , or Semicolon ; — for other list styles. Only "quoted fields" treats " as a wrapper around a cell.

Each import accepts up to 5,000 rows and a 20 MB list; split bigger lists. If rows have different column counts, the next step flags each row — nothing is changed automatically.

2. Map columns

Choose what each column is: login, password, email, email password, phone number, 2FA secret, cookies, tokens, numeric X ID and more. X-Buddy suggests types from the data; suggestions are not applied until you choose Apply suggestions.

There is no "Skip" option. A column you're unsure about becomes Other column (stored as is): "All columns will be saved, including those labeled 'Other column'." You can save the column order as a mapping template (the template stores the order only, never data).

If the list has a Numeric X ID column, X-Buddy can spot duplicates before importing. Without it, duplicates are found when the X account signs in.

3. VPS & proxy

Choose the VPS for these X accounts and how proxies are assigned. Each X account needs one unused proxy; rows without one are not sent. Each X account gets its own fixed browser profile that matches its proxy. For testing only, Test mode (no proxy) imports the X accounts on the VPS's own network instead — don't use it for real X accounts.

4. Review

See what will happen to each row: X accounts to create, Hold for review, duplicates and misaligned rows. Tick the authorization confirmation, then Import.

5. Results

Each row gets a receipt the moment the server has durably saved it. If the connection drops halfway, X-Buddy checks the receipts first and then sends only the rows without one — never the whole list again ("Checking receipts to see which rows were saved. Nothing is being resent yet.").

What "imported" means

Results are counted separately, and they mean different things:

  • Details saved — the row's values are stored encrypted.
  • X accounts to create / Accounts added — an X account now exists in X-Buddy.
  • Sign-in confirmed — X itself confirmed the expected account is signed in.

Importing does not sign the X account in, and nothing runs automatically after import: an X account only receives jobs once its sign-in and identity are confirmed. Sign each new X account in through Remote view.

The encrypted vault

  • Every cell is encrypted on the X-Buddy server. Values are never shown again — not to you, not to anyone in the workspace, and not through the API. They can't be copied or exported.
  • The X-Buddy server can decrypt them when a feature needs them; this is not end-to-end encryption.
  • Storing is not using. Saved passwords, email logins and 2FA secrets are not used to sign in for you. Signing in with saved cookies exists in X-Buddy but is switched off for now — sign in through Remote view.
  • An X account counts as signed in only when X shows the expected X user ID. A handle, a file or a cookie on its own is never proof.

Rows needing attention

Rows that didn't create an X account — duplicates, misaligned columns, invalid IDs — are stored encrypted under Rows needing attention until you delete them. Their values stay hidden. To fix one, delete the row and import a corrected version; existing X accounts are never overwritten. Held rows don't expire by themselves.
