Quick start
Create your workspace, pair a Windows VPS, add a proxy and an X account, and sign in — the shortest path to a working setup.
This page takes you from a new X-Buddy account to one X account that is signed in and ready to work. Plan about 20 minutes. You need:
- a Windows VPS you control, with at least 4 GB of RAM (see VPS & agent);
- one proxy per X account you want to run (HTTP or SOCKS5);
- the X account's username and password, and access to its 2FA if it has one.
X-Buddy runs your own personal X accounts in a real Chrome on your own VPS. It never solves captchas or X verification for you, and it has no built-in AI writer: it sends exactly the text you write.
1. Create your account and workspace
- Open X-Buddy and choose Sign up. Enter Full name, your email, Password (at least 8 characters) and Confirm password.
- If X-Buddy asks you to confirm your email, open the link it sent you, then sign in.
- On Create your first workspace, enter a Workspace name and choose the Default time zone. Choose Create workspace.
You land on Home. Its setup checklist shows four steps — Invite teammates, Pair a Windows VPS, Add proxies and X accounts and Sign in to your X account via Remote view — and ticks each one off as it really happens.
Forgot your password? On the sign-in page choose Forgot password?, enter your email and choose Send link. The email takes you to Reset password.
2. Choose your language
X-Buddy picks English or Tiếng Việt from your browser the first time. To change it, open Settings → Your account → Language, or use the language switcher on the sign-in pages. Your choice is saved to your profile.
The workspace has its own Workspace notification language (Settings → Workspace). It is used for Telegram alerts, webhook test messages and the agent window on your VPS. It does not change the language Chrome uses inside your X accounts.
3. Pair your VPS
- Go to VPS & Agent and choose Add VPS. Give it a VPS display name and choose Generate pairing code.
- Copy the install command. On the VPS, open PowerShell as Administrator, paste it and press Enter.
- Wait until the dialog shows Paired. The code is valid for 10 minutes; if it expires, generate a new one.
The installer sets up Node.js, Google Chrome and the X-Buddy agent, and starts it every time Windows signs in. Details, requirements and the agent window are in VPS & agent.
4. Add a proxy and an X account
- Go to Proxy → Add proxies, paste one proxy per line and add them. X-Buddy checks each one and shows whether it can connect.
- Go to X accounts → Add X account. Choose the VPS, an unused Proxy, then fill in Account label, X account age and Time zone. The last step shows the account's Browser profile — created once, kept for good, and matched to its proxy.
Adding many X accounts at once from a file is covered in Import X accounts in bulk.
5. Sign in through Remote view
Open the X account and choose Open Remote view. You see that account's Chrome on your VPS, live. Type the username and password yourself; if X asks for a 2FA code, use Paste text (2FA code…). When X's home page appears, X-Buddy saves the handle and profile photo.
While Remote view is open, automated jobs for this X account wait. Close it when you're done. More in Add and sign in X accounts.
6. Decide your limits, then start
X-Buddy ships no preset caps: you set how much each X account may do per day and per 7 days, and when it may run. Read Limits, run hours & safety before you turn anything on.
Good first things to do:
- Today collects mentions, replies, messages waiting for an answer and posts from your nurturing lists and keyword monitors.
- Playbooks let you copy a ready-made set of tasks and apply it to several X accounts. Growth tasks always arrive switched Off until you preview and enable them — see Playbooks.
- Campaigns send a step-by-step sequence to a list of people — see Campaigns & sequences.
